a recent philanthropic endeavor: the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, in collaboration with the pro-government Egyptian political party Homat Al Watan (the Protectors of the Nation), has generously bestowed essential school materials upon students facing economic hardship in Cairo.
Approximately 400 sets of school bags and stationery were graciously presented to students during a heartening donation ceremony at the Al-Asmarat District’s service center in the Cairo Governorate.
This impactful event witnessed the presence of Chinese Ambassador to Egypt, Liao Liqiang, Secretary-General of Egypt’s Homat Al Watan Party, Tariq Naseer, and Al-Asmarat district head, Ahmed Ibrahim.
Ambassador Liao expressed that this benevolent act symbolizes solidarity with a shantytown renovation project initiated by Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, aiming to foster enduring camaraderie between the two nations.
Tariq Naseer, on behalf of his party, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the Chinese embassy for its support of Egypt’s livelihood improvement projects, emphasizing the profound manifestation of the Egypt-China friendship.
In appreciation of the Chinese embassy’s generosity, Ahmed Ibrahim disclosed that his district pioneered the initial shantytown renovation project under President Sisi’s visionary Decent Life Initiative. Launched in 2019, this initiative strives to provide a dignified life for the most vulnerable groups nationwide, concurrently enhancing the quality of daily public services for citizens and rural residents.
