Angolan Vice President Manuel Domingos Vicente has expressed his country’s readiness to enhance cooperation with China in various fields.

The vice president made the remarks while meeting with visiting Chinese State Councilor Wang Yong.

Angola and China, as each other’s strategic partner, have achieved great results through mutually beneficial cooperation in recent years, Vicente said, adding that the Angolan side will work with China to further increase political mutual trust and take the bilateral strategic partnership to a new level.

The Chinese state councilor said Angola has been China’s important strategic partner in Africa, and China is happy to see the achievements made in the country in recent years.

Wang said China will work with the Angolan side to implement the important consensuses reached by leaders of the two nations as well as outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation summit held in Johannesburg so as to enhance mutually-beneficial cooperation and bring more benefits to peoples of the two countries.

Reiterating China’s African policy featuring sincerity, real results, affinity and good faith, and a policy of upholding justice and pursuing shared interests, Wang said that China will actively develop bilateral friendly relations with Angola, continue to encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in the country, and enhance cooperation in sectors such as energy, finance and infrastructure.
