Ethiopia draws valuable lessons from China’s development, says official

China’s unique path to modernization offers valuable insights for Ethiopia, according to Bikila Hurisa, head of public and international relations for Ethiopia’s Prosperity Party (PP). He highlighted that China’s progress, achieved through a tailored development model and strong human capital, serves as an inspiration for Ethiopia’s own socio-economic aspirations.

Recent exchanges between senior PP members and Chinese counterparts have provided practical lessons in urban planning, rural development, and heritage conservation. Hurisa praised China’s ongoing support, especially since their relationship was upgraded to an all-weather strategic partnership in November 2023. A recent PP delegation visit to China fostered further experience-sharing and reinforced ties with the Communist arty of China.
